Electronic File Guidelines For Computer Cut Vinyl Graphics & Flexible Sign Face Production.
The following guidelines have been developed to assist you in supplying electronic files for your computer cut vinyl productions.
The following files are compatible with our design center:
We use primarily 3M brand films for computer cut vinyl applications. When submitting artwork, specify which film color is assigned to each segment of the design, and whether the film is translucent, reflective, etc. Clean vector artwork is always the preferred file format. Files that need to be recreated into a vector format are subject to additional charges.
Artwork for digital prints can be both vector and raster images. In order to achieve the highest quality print, the resolution can be no less than 150 dpi. This is especially important when images are to be enlarged for signage. Remember, the better the quality of the files you provide, the better the quality of the finished product.
****NOTE: Images from web pages will not be accepted.
In order to expedite production, artwork must be supplied full-scale and/or proportional to the final production. Please include a line representing the visible opening on your artwork.
We will do everything possible to provide an accurate reproduction of supplied artwork. We do, however, produce exactly what is on your electronic file and so we ask that you check it thoroughly for accuracy prior to sending.
We will be happy to assist you with any questions that you may have. Contact your sales representative so we may assist you.
